Burger Time

Workout (yesterday): 45 minutes speed/hill intervals on elliptical, 50 minutes TRX strength training.


Today = REST DAY FOR THESE GAMS!

The last time I attempted to cook with ground turkey meat, I ended up with a very watery loaf pan of eh...

This time, I ended up with these :)
Danielle's Turkey Burger Explosion
Kinda Cajun Turkey Burgers

Serving Size: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
cook Time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1.25 lb ground turkey
  • half yellow onion
  • 3/4 green bell pepper
  • handful sundried tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 dashes salt
  • 3 big dashes cajun seasoning 
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 tsp. worceshire sauce
  • 2 tsp. peach (or regular) hot sauce
Heat up grill. Mix all ingredients in a medium/large bowl until well combined.  Wet hands (to keep meat from sticking to them) and roll four equal balls of meat mixture (could also make 6 smaller burgers), place on plate or cutting board and flatten to desired thickness. Spray grill with PAM (or equivalent) and place burgers on medium heated grill plates.  Cook for about 5-7 minutes, and then flip - cook another 5-7 minutes, or until meat is cooked thoroughly all the way through (no medium rare for these burgers!). Grill up a couple potato bread buns (or w/e bun is your fancy). Pair with some grilled sweet potato fries and brocolli or other green veg for a complete, awesome meal!!
